Event Promotion

For this project, I created a promotional video for “Music by the River,” a local event held annually. The event features performances by local and cover bands, while vendors sell food and other items. It’s a major community gathering, and when COVID hit, we feared it might never return.

Since I didn’t have access to original footage from the event, I used stock footage to represent its atmosphere. For the background color, I chose a neutral blue that keeps the focus on the information while remaining visually engaging and on-brand. I originally selected a blue from the event’s logo (which I wasn’t permitted to use) and toned it down to make it less vibrant. However, the plain blue background felt incomplete, so I added a subtle texture and animation to enhance its depth and visual appeal.

For typography, I chose “Rockwell”—a clean, readable font that adds character without being overused.
